Coordination office of the Weltacker Movement
The first Weltacker was launched in 2013 by Save our Seeds, the Berlin office of the GLS Treuhand e.V. / Foundation on Future Agriculture. We have set ourselves the goal of making the essential messages of the Report on Global Agriculture comprehensible to everyone and spreading them around the world. To this end, the Weltacker brings the interrelationships of global agriculture down to a human, tangible and sensory level.
After 10 years of successful educational work, Berliner Weltacker 2024 spun off from the Foundation on Future Agriculture as an independent association. Since then, we have been exclusively coordinating the international Weltacker movement that has grown over the years.
Our goals are to promote the exchange between the local Weltacker projects, to carry our messages into the world, to centrally organize groundwork for all Weltacker projects, to set new educational impulses and to support new initiatives in setting up their Weltacker. This is what our small team in Berlin is committed to.
