Niestety, nie znamy imion tych dwóch świń. Reprezentują 260 milionów świń w Europie i 1,3 mld na całym świecie. Przeciętnie, Europejczyk konsumuje rocznie około 40 kilogramów wieprzowiny. Te dwie świnki zaspokajają zatem potrzeby pięciu Europejczyków, zakładając ich ubój przy masie około 115 kg.
Do uprawy pszenicy, soi, kukurydzy i innych roślin spożywanych przez świnię do wagi ubojowej, wymagane jest około 9 metrów kwadratowych gruntu na kilogram mięsa. Oznacza to, że nasze dwie świnki skonsumują uprawę z całego naszego pola. Ponadto, w czasie ich krótkiego życia pięć razy poda się im antybiotyki.
Przy okazji należy dodać, że przepisy europejskie w zakresie dobrostanu zwierząt dopuszczają hodowlę 2000 świń na naszym polu: jeden metr kwadratowy na dorosłe zwierzę.
